Vwaza Multimedia has signed a 12-month strategic partnership with Nyali Muzik Studios and Za Nyimbo TV to create a platform where Malawian creators can produce, distribute and earn more from their content.
The partnership aims to help artists keep 80–85% of the revenue they generate through music streams, merchandise sales and direct fan support.
Fans will be able to pay for music, films and merchandise using Airtel Money and PayChangu, removing the need for international payment methods.
The agreement will also introduce exclusive Vwaza-first content, monthly live acoustic sessions, and ticketed livestream concerts.
The partners say the initiative is designed to help more of the value created by Malawian artists stay within Malawi and Africa instead of relying on international streaming platforms.
