A speedboat travelling from Tanzania to Malawi with seven people on board (four Dutch nationals and three crew members) has been reported missing on Lake Malawi, according to Zodiak.
The vessel left Mbamba Bay on Sunday morning for Nkhata Bay but failed to reach its destination, prompting Malawian authorities to begin a search after communication was lost.
Tanzanian officials have since indicated that the boat has been found near Luwiru, with search and rescue efforts by both Malawian and Tanzanian authorities still in progress.
