President Arthur Peter Mutharika has separated the Ministry of Energy and Mining into two standalone ministries and announced new ministerial appointments with immediate effect.
Following the restructuring, Dr Jean Mathanga, MP, has been appointed Minister of Energy, while Thoko Tembo, MP, has been named Minister of Mining.
The appointments take effect immediately.
